Kayo Fox 70cc No Low End Power
#21
First be sure like everyone else is saying that the throttle is not limited still, there’s a small screw you can back out for more throttle, turn it in for less. My personal kayo fox 70 (2021) I adjusted the clutch on the right side of the motor with a 14 mm open end wrench and a flat head screw driver. Be sure to warm the bike up completely and that the quad is off during each adjustment. Loosen the nut on the right side of the s crank case that has the flat head screw in the middle of it while keeping the flat head screw driver pressed against it. Back it out half a turn and press the screwdriver inward toward the motor also backing the screw out….being sure it doesn’t turn and tighten the nut back up. Start it up, try it. If it’s there’s still no gain try another half turn. In the end I was almost 2 full turns. I cannot tell you how far you can turn it before it just completely comes unscrewed so do it at your own risk. Our quad takes right off now but you don’t want to over do it. If your quad is lurching forward while it’s idling there’s a good chance you need to loosen it up a little bit. Hope this helps anyone.
The nut is in the center of the photo, there is a flat head screw in the middle of it. The screw is actually what holds the nut against the case, not the other way around.

1st, have fixed the low torque issue on my daughter's fox70. Dropped 1 tooth off front sprocket and added 3 to rear now it stops mid hill then can just keep going all over my 6 acres+ woods trails.
I can go back and find links.
Note both were very easy for me, average redneck mechanic.
Note the smaller diameter front sprocket requires cutting the ends off the 2-screws sprocket retainer as mine would hit the chain making chain cycle tight/loose. Can get pics to show. I just Dremel'd the closed ends to open ends.
And I really appreciate the clutch adjustment info.

Kayo Fox 70 no low end power
Won’t go over an ant hill when stopped. I replaced front sprocket with 428xT12 & rear sprocket with 428xT41 (Have to replace chain with 428). Installed new racing CDI & coil wire. New carb. Thing runs fabulous and no longer have to get off my Atv to give son a push start. Sad Kayo needs to do better.
