It is not hard, but do it in 2nd or 3rd gear. Make sure you have solid ground to do it and becareful it is not the safest way to start it

well, i took off the starter relay, and i put the to wires together to make it crank, but it still wouldn't start. after a few tries at that, my battery was drained. So does this mean it's a problem in the starter?

i got it to catch in gear and it ran, so i guess my choices are park on top of hills, or drop $250 for a new starter! that sucks!
