Can I use a snow plow for dirt?
I'm looking for a plow that I can put on my 2006 500EFI to push some dirt, wood chips, and keep one of our dirt roads smooth. Is that too much for a snow plow? If not, what kind should I get. I've been looking at the Polaris plows for the ease of taking it on and off and the fact that it's disigned for a Polaris quad. Thanks for any help...

Can I use a snow plow for dirt?
I have the Glacier system with the 60 inch blade. I use it for snow, dirt, rocks, and whatever else I can think of. I even used it (in reverse) to smooth out my neighbors stone driveway. Catterman is right about any plow will work, but the Glacier definitely goes on and off in a snap.
The other thing I like about it is the mounting plate that stays on the machine all the time. It acts as a very efficient plate of protection for the bottom front of the quad.

Can I use a snow plow for dirt?
Thanks for the help. I think it would be a good investment. I would also use it for snow. I've been trying to figure out what I need to buy. It seems everything is individualy. I have a 2500 warn winch. Can someone tell me what I need. I plan on getting the Glacier plow. Thanks again.

If you already have the winch, the Glacier plow is a three-piece deal.
-Mounting plate (this is specific to your quad)
-Plow blade (these come in various shapes and sizes, so take your pick)
-Plow Frame (this is the most expensive piece of the plow setup)
The cool thing, is if you buy another Polaris quad in the future, you will just need a new mounting plate, which is ~$100.
