Default suzuki vinson 500 auto problem

Hey guys im new here and i just had a problem recently. My brother, my friend, and I took my atv through extremely deep water because i wanted to try wat i saw in the videos and i went back and forth through the water once and when i passed the water i tried to drive in low or high and it had extremely low power like nothing before and when i got out of the water and started driving on land it sounded like it would go into extremely high rpms and not switch gears for both low and high and im not sure what the problem is but if anyone else knows i will be very grateful.

Thanks AGS10290.

Sound like your belt got wet. drain the water out of thr belt case and ride it slow for awile. It'll dry out. You may want to pull the belt cover off to check if any mud or dirt got in there.

Where exactly is the belt cover? I can't see a belt upon visual inspection, but I think it could be that black casing next to the foot-brake. Am I right?

if that is the drive belt im pretty sure it is but ive removed all bolts that i can see that hold the case together but now i cant remove it. It seems like its being held together by an extremely strong glue or something

It's probally dried out by now. Ride it and see if it's still slipping, Just dont get your pant leg cought in it.
