Default 1999 300 King Quad Valve settings

I just bought a 300 King Quad(first ever) and i think have to adjust the valves .The bike will not idle and to start it you have to pinch the throttle.I just changed the plug and it already is black also cleaned the carb thinking that would be the problem but no luck.If anyone would know what the valve clearances would be that would be great

On my 1993 Suzuki LT4wd 300 KQ the valves specs were Intake: 0.03 - 0.08 mm ( 0.001 - 0.005 Inch Exhaust: 0.08 - 0.13 mm ( 0.003 - 0.005 Inch ) , my Dealer suggested setting them at Intake: 0.003 Inch and Exhaust: 0.004 Inch ; your 1999 300 KQ should be the same setting's as the 1993 year model !

Hope this helps and welcome to the forums !..........

Thanks for the info, I adjusted the intake and the exhaust was still in the limits. The wheeler runs and idles much better. Even used it to patrol line at work and it ran great - hope to use it this weekend to icefish.
