Rubicon Reverse Limiter
Yes there is a way. I'm still working on a way to bypass it, when I do, you will be the first to know.
Try this, go in "D1 or D2" up a slope, stop and when it starts to roll back down, shift it in "R" with a little shot of trottle and you will have the tranny shift 5 gears in reverse. I guess it fools the computer.

dont you have a owners manual.
d1 is performance mode.
d2 is for when you want to take easy and not spinn the tires.
it shifts at a lower rpm in d2.
also that little trick about going into reverse you must have more money then brains to do stuff like that.
because a new tranny cost around 1500 dollers and then you have to pay someone to fix it.
the manual says it must be at a compleat stop befor shifting into any gear.
you are taking a chance of bending a shift rod or even worse braking the tranny.
why do you need to go faster then 9 mph in reverse anyways.

you can do something simular with most any 2 stroke engine. we had a old dirt bike that we would push (bump) start, pushing backwards. this caused the flywheel to spin the wrong direction, (counter-clockwsie instead of it's normal clockwise rotation). this would cause the engine to run in the wrong rotation direction, thus 5 gears, all in reverse.
this will not work a on a 4stroke engine, but maybe your some how getting the flywheel/pump (what ever in the tranny that makes it go) to spin the wrong way.

I dont think there is a limiter in reverse as i can scream the engine in Reverse as its simply geared low.
as for this

Yeah, not a good idea- it would trash the sub transmission

The only way you can damage the tranny is if you shift hard(grind it), by giving it a little
bit of throttle, you make a smouth shift.
I know the owner's manuel says that you must be in a complete stop so you don't "grind it".
Don't forget, this is a hydro static transmission.
